Bookshare
If you are a person with a reading disability or if you serve
people through an educational or non-profit organization,
you can dramatically increase your e-book collection by subscribing
to this site! Bookshare.org provides access to books for the
online community by enabling book scans to be shared, thereby
leveraging the collections of thousands of individuals who
regularly scan books, eliminating significant duplication
of effort.
Individual subscriptions cost $25 to subscribe
and $50 for the annual subscription.
Organizational accounts cost $200 a year,
plus the subscription fees for the sponsored individual members.

professionals. Several activities provide current information

Georgia Project for Assistive Technology
This site is designed to assist local school districts consider
and use AT. It offers comprehensive AT information including
assessment protocols, guidelines, checklists, forms, tutorials,
listservs, and materials to help integrate AT into daily classroom
activities.

stands for Assistive Technology: Strategies, Tools, Accommodations,
and Resources. This
collaborative Texas project offers great AT resources for
students, including tools and a 6-step AT assessment process.
