Assistive Technology Training Online Project

This project proposes to develop, implement, evaluate and disseminate a model program to address the diverse, multi-level needs for Assistive Technology training by exploring the potential of web-based instruction to create virtual workshops. The training model will focus on the use of adapted computer technology to facilitate the educational process and independent participation of students with disabilities in elementary (K-5) classrooms. By offering information and training on the use of AT, more people will see the potential of AT tools, select and use them with students to make it easier and more efficient for them to achieve.

Funding Sources
The primary funding source for the Assistive Technology Training Online Project was the US Department of Education's Office of Special Education and Rehabilitation Services; under the Research and Innovation to Improve Services and Results for Children with Disabilities Model Demonstration Projects (CDFA 84.324M).
