We have provided the following tools to help you make AT
decisions. They are always available to you on a puzzle piece
on the right side bar.
AT Planner
A "hands on" opportunity to create an AT plan for
the child in each story including an opportunity to Try it
out and Reflect upon Result. You can select information that
you feel is most relevant for a student, their environment
and tasks; the information if transferred automatically to
your AT Planner. You can also select AT Solutions and share
your questions and results with others in the Discussion Room.
Resource Room
Explore the Resource Room for additional information on selecting
and using AT solutions pertinent to each of the Student Stories
and actual students in your classroom. You will find demo's
of favorite software programs, relevant articles and collections
of strategies and links. The AT Planner that you develop can
be stored here in a password protected file and revisited
by you at any time.
Discussion
Log in here to talk about any of the students presented in
this section.
- What else would you like to know?
- What other solutions might you try?
You can also share some of your experiences about your students
and ask AT experts and other colleagues to share their knowledge.
We promise a quick response to your questions and to help
you connect to any additional resources you might need to
help the children in your classrooms.
Assessment
A place to go to profile your knowledge about assistive technology.
You can revisit the Profiler several times and compare your
knowledge to others in the field. If you want to check your
personal growth, re-take the self assessment survey to compare
old and new profiles.
