Meghan is an active 6 year old; an enthusiastic member of Mrs. Markle's first grade class. She enjoys using the computer with a friend as it provides a way to work together as partners. Due to tremors in her hands, controlling the mouse was a frustrating experience for both children. As her teacher noticed that Meghan's participation was diminishing due to this problem, she decided to try a trackball. The EasyBall became the solution due to several features: it slowed the movement of the pointer down, making it easier to follow for both children; the single button was easy to access and the standard mouse could be used at the same time, allowing both options for her partner. This simple substitution helped support the partnership!
